Sadhguru Reveals Near-Death Experience and What Led to Second Brain Surgery

 Spiritual leader and Isha Foundation founder Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev recently opened up about the shocking incident that led to his second brain surgery in March 2024. In a personal video shared on Instagram titled  ‘Sadhguru’s Second Brain Surgery – Undisclosed Details’ , the 67-year-old described how a seemingly minor accident became life-threatening. He recounted an incident involving a monkey while he was swimming with his daughter. A monkey approached their house, trying to enter for fruit. His daughter shouted to scare it away, but the monkey charged at her. Instinctively trying to protect her, Sadhguru rushed inside to grab a stick but accidentally slammed his head into a closed glass door at full speed. 4000 Students Parents and Teachers Across Podar World Schools participated to Contribute Through Daan Utsav


 

Jaipur, 09th October 2021. Amidst the grim COVID crisis and anxiety ticking with the back to school syndrome, Podar World Schools celebrated the Joy of Giving Week between 2nd October and9th October 2021. The week witnessed students from across India conducting noble acts of contributing and voluntarily donating possessions such as their clothes, toys, shoes, books andeven read out stories to senior citizens in the elderly homes and children in orphanages.

Mr. Raghav Podar, Chairman Podar Education said, “The DaanUtsav is celebrated every year. Earlier known as the Joy of Giving Week, the DaanUtsav is being conducted with a cause of offering a helping hand to fellow citizens during the trying times of the pandemic.


As we raise awareness on the Joy of Giving Week, we have made it a point for our students to go out of their way to serve the purpose of compassion and humanity. COVID has upendedthe education framework from classroom learning to online learning but traditional learning still forms a core for children in rural areas. We urge our students and their parents to come forward and donate books, pens, pencils, and learning materials to the weaker sections of society. The DaanUtsav gives us a chance to come together for a noble cause where humanity connects all.

  Date:  July 1, 2025 BJP has appointed  Ravindra Chavan , a prominent Maratha leader and four-time MLA from Dombivali, as its new Maharashtra state president.  Amid ongoing India–US trade discussions, India's Commerce Ministry has opposed a clause proposed by the United States that would prevent India from reintroducing digital taxes like the equalisation levy in the future. This development comes as India attempts to ease US concerns over high tariffs and show willingness to cooperate on trade reforms. In March 2025, the Indian government had suggested removing the equalisation levy on digital ads as part of the Finance Bill amendments. However, legal advisers to the Commerce Ministry now advise negotiators not to accept the US's current demand, as it imposes an obligation only on India. According to insiders, the US proposal lacked mutuality—it asked India to commit to not applying digital service taxes but made no such commitment from the American side.
