Sadhguru Reveals Near-Death Experience and What Led to Second Brain Surgery

 Spiritual leader and Isha Foundation founder Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev recently opened up about the shocking incident that led to his second brain surgery in March 2024. In a personal video shared on Instagram titled  ‘Sadhguru’s Second Brain Surgery – Undisclosed Details’ , the 67-year-old described how a seemingly minor accident became life-threatening. He recounted an incident involving a monkey while he was swimming with his daughter. A monkey approached their house, trying to enter for fruit. His daughter shouted to scare it away, but the monkey charged at her. Instinctively trying to protect her, Sadhguru rushed inside to grab a stick but accidentally slammed his head into a closed glass door at full speed. Akshay Kumar to play war hero Major General Ian Cardozo in Colour Yellow Production’s next - Gorkha


 

After AtrangiRe and Raksha Bandhan, Akshay Kumar Aanand L Rai’s Colour Yellow Productions and Cape of Good Films join hands once again. They collaborate for a biopic - Gorkha, based on the life of Major General Ian Cardozo, a legendary officer of the Gorkha regiment of the Indian Army (5th Gorkha Rifles). The film will be helmed by national award winner Sanjay Puran Singh Chauhan.
 
As we enter the 75th year of Independence, the makers are proud to bring this story of sacrifice and valour on screen. Akshay will be essaying the role of the legendary war hero who fought in the wars of 1962, 1965, and most notably in the Indo-Pakistan War of 1971. Being a special film about a war icon, the actor decided to present it himself.
 
Producer Aanand L Rai adds, “We are honored to bring the story of a legendary war hero, Major General Ian Cardozo whose name goes down in history for his immense courage in the 1971 Indo-Pakistan war. I am also excited to work with Akshay sir again for the third time.

 Amid ongoing India–US trade discussions, India's Commerce Ministry has opposed a clause proposed by the United States that would prevent India from reintroducing digital taxes like the equalisation levy in the future. This development comes as India attempts to ease US concerns over high tariffs and show willingness to cooperate on trade reforms. In March 2025, the Indian government had suggested removing the equalisation levy on digital ads as part of the Finance Bill amendments. However, legal advisers to the Commerce Ministry now advise negotiators not to accept the US's current demand, as it imposes an obligation only on India.   Date:  July 1, 2025 BJP has appointed  Ravindra Chavan , a prominent Maratha leader and four-time MLA from Dombivali, as its new Maharashtra state president.
