Sadhguru Reveals Near-Death Experience and What Led to Second Brain Surgery

 Spiritual leader and Isha Foundation founder Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev recently opened up about the shocking incident that led to his second brain surgery in March 2024. In a personal video shared on Instagram titled  ‘Sadhguru’s Second Brain Surgery – Undisclosed Details’ , the 67-year-old described how a seemingly minor accident became life-threatening. He recounted an incident involving a monkey while he was swimming with his daughter. A monkey approached their house, trying to enter for fruit. His daughter shouted to scare it away, but the monkey charged at her. Instinctively trying to protect her, Sadhguru rushed inside to grab a stick but accidentally slammed his head into a closed glass door at full speed. Altair media’s Ashwani Shukla awarded with International PR Icon 2021 award at Mid Day International Icon Awards ceremony.

Publicist and Media Manager Ashwani Shukla was honored with the International Icon, 2021 award by Jagran Group's English newspaper Mid-Day. The two-day awards ceremony held at the Grand Hyatt in Dubai honored various individuals in the fields of education, real estate, retail, lifestyle, health and beauty, along with the Cinema Showbiz Awards. Ashwani Shukla received the International PR Icon 2021 award from the actor Vivek Oberoi, actress Daisy Shah.

Having successfully run his PR agency Altair Media for the past decade, he has been a media planner for several actors of Hindi films as well as has expertise in national and international programs of fashion and lifestyle.

In addition to being an influential media strategist in newspapers, radio, TV and online news portals for the promotion of actors and films, he has also worked in media management for corporate and social concern groups. He has also been honored at Asia Leadership Award, Legacy Awards 2019, Singapore for his outstanding work in the field of PR.

Dedicating this award to his parents, Ashwani Shukla said that parents' blessings are the most essential for success along with talent, hard work and luck. There is a lot of potential in the media, film and television business.

 Amid ongoing India–US trade discussions, India's Commerce Ministry has opposed a clause proposed by the United States that would prevent India from reintroducing digital taxes like the equalisation levy in the future. This development comes as India attempts to ease US concerns over high tariffs and show willingness to cooperate on trade reforms. In March 2025, the Indian government had suggested removing the equalisation levy on digital ads as part of the Finance Bill amendments.
