Sadhguru Reveals Near-Death Experience and What Led to Second Brain Surgery

 Spiritual leader and Isha Foundation founder Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev recently opened up about the shocking incident that led to his second brain surgery in March 2024. In a personal video shared on Instagram titled  ‘Sadhguru’s Second Brain Surgery – Undisclosed Details’ , the 67-year-old described how a seemingly minor accident became life-threatening. He recounted an incident involving a monkey while he was swimming with his daughter. A monkey approached their house, trying to enter for fruit. His daughter shouted to scare it away, but the monkey charged at her. Instinctively trying to protect her, Sadhguru rushed inside to grab a stick but accidentally slammed his head into a closed glass door at full speed. Hindi – Urdu Writer Javed Siddiqi would be honored with Life Time Achievement Award


  JAIPUR | Five days going Jaipur international film Festival [JIFF] is going to add a glorious chapter in the world of CINEMA at 4:30 PM on 7th January at Maharana Pratap Auditorium, Jaipur. It’s going to be the first film festival, where awards are declared prior to the screenings, and winning films would be awarded at the occasion of the Opening Ceremony itself.

Through this novel attempt, film enthusiasts would be able to get the options to watch the best films of their choices at INOX, GT Central [located at Malviya Nagar, Jaipur] informs JIFF Founder Director Hanu Roj. 

JIFF is celebrating its 14th birthday this year and people would be able to entertain themselves by watching their favorite films. On 7th January from 4:30 PM at Maharana Pratap Auditorium, Tourism Minister Vishvendra Singh, Niranjan Arya - Chief Secretary of Rajasthan, Robert Eugen Popa, Film Director from Romania and  Maryam Pirband, Film Actress and Director from USA would be the guests at the opening ceremony. 

On this special occasion, dignitaries from the world of art & culture would be present including H.E. Carlos Polo - Ambassador of Peru in India, Padma Shri S Shakir Ali, Padma Shri Tilak Geetai, and numerous directors, producers, and scriptwriters.

Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has sent a congratulatory note for the success and organization of JIFF 2022. While welcoming the filmmakers and delegates coming from India and abroad. I send my best wishes for the success of the 14th edition of JIFF.

From 8th to 11th January, selected and awarded films would be screened in hybrid mode [off-line online]. A total of 279 films from 52 countries would be screened. All off-line mode films would be screened at INOX, GT Central [screen 6 and screen 7] from 10 AM to 10 PM. All COVID rules and protocols would be followed.

 
Noted Hindi – Urdu Writer Javed Siddiqi would be honored with Life Time Achievement Award

Javed Siddiqi, a widely known screenplay and dialogue writer would be honored with Jaipur International Film Festival’s Life Time Achievement Award. Born in 1942, in Rampur, Javed Siddiqi has earned great name and fame by writing screenplays and dialogues for more than 60 super hit films in his career. He’s been honored with the prestigious Film Fare Award twice, in 1994 for super hit film Baazigar and in 1996 for blockbuster Dil Wali Dulhaniya Le Jayenge. Besides, he has been awarded Star Screenplay Award for writing the screenplay of super successful film Raja Hindustani in 1996.

JIFF maintains the tradition to make a country, the Guest Country and CHINA gets selected to be that, in the 14th edition of JIFF.

From 8th to 11th January, online screening would take place. Online scheduled films would stay alive till next 24 hours; which can be watched on the official website of JIFF - jiffindia.org

Awarded Films to be showcased at INOX

Film screenings would continue from 10 A.M. to 10 P.M. at INOX [GT Central]. Out of 108 screening FILMS - 97 FILMS are going to be awarded this time.

  Date:  July 1, 2025 BJP has appointed  Ravindra Chavan , a prominent Maratha leader and four-time MLA from Dombivali, as its new Maharashtra state president.  Amid ongoing India–US trade discussions, India's Commerce Ministry has opposed a clause proposed by the United States that would prevent India from reintroducing digital taxes like the equalisation levy in the future. This development comes as India attempts to ease US concerns over high tariffs and show willingness to cooperate on trade reforms. In March 2025, the Indian government had suggested removing the equalisation levy on digital ads as part of the Finance Bill amendments. However, legal advisers to the Commerce Ministry now advise negotiators not to accept the US's current demand, as it imposes an obligation only on India.
