Sadhguru Reveals Near-Death Experience and What Led to Second Brain Surgery

 Spiritual leader and Isha Foundation founder Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev recently opened up about the shocking incident that led to his second brain surgery in March 2024. In a personal video shared on Instagram titled  ‘Sadhguru’s Second Brain Surgery – Undisclosed Details’ , the 67-year-old described how a seemingly minor accident became life-threatening. He recounted an incident involving a monkey while he was swimming with his daughter. A monkey approached their house, trying to enter for fruit. His daughter shouted to scare it away, but the monkey charged at her. Instinctively trying to protect her, Sadhguru rushed inside to grab a stick but accidentally slammed his head into a closed glass door at full speed. After the enormous success of Maharani Season 1, which received an overwhelming response from the viewers, the much-awaited Maharani Season 2 is finally here. Starring actors Huma Qureshi and Sohum Shah, Maharani Season 2 is a political drama. Directed by Ravindra Gautam, written by Umashankar Singh & Nandan Singh and created by Subhash Kapoor, the web series is soon set to release on streaming platform SonyLIV, in which all songs have been composed and produced by Rohit Sharma. The teaser for the show was released on 16th July and has caused a lot of anticipatory excitement in the audience.

Sharing his experience of working on this series, music composer Rohit Sharma says, “It has been an exhilarating experience. Season two did bring up some challenges but I had a great time composing the tracks for this show. There are a total of 7 songs in this series, and I hope that they are well-received by the audience as they were by Huma Qureshi, Sohum Shah and producer Subhash Kapoor. Immensely grateful to Subhash Kapoor sir for supporting and guiding me all through the series, and also to Dr. Sagar (lyricist) for the beautiful lines penned by him. Sincerely hoping that the audience will connect with, and cherish the music just as they have done in the past, with my earlier work.”

Rohit Sharma has always received wide acclaim for his music. Be it “The Kashmir Files” or “Ship of Theseus”, his compositions have long been known to form an emotional connect with the audience. His versatility comes through in his various projects, such as in “Anaarkali of Arrah” where he showcased remarkable talent in the folk genre, which went on to bag him the Best Music Director award at the Jagran Film Festival. Besides these films, the music director also has other successful titles to his name such as “The Tashkent Files”, “Buddha in a Traffic Jam” and the recent award-winning web series, “TVF - Aspirants”.

At present, he is busy working on three films, one of which stars Rinku Rajguru of Sairat fame, and has been written and directed by Ram Mahindra, a young and dynamic director from Chennai.

With such a talented team & cast, Maharani Season 2 looks promising for sure - watch out for it soon on SonyLIV!

 Amid ongoing India–US trade discussions, India's Commerce Ministry has opposed a clause proposed by the United States that would prevent India from reintroducing digital taxes like the equalisation levy in the future. This development comes as India attempts to ease US concerns over high tariffs and show willingness to cooperate on trade reforms. In March 2025, the Indian government had suggested removing the equalisation levy on digital ads as part of the Finance Bill amendments.   Date:  July 1, 2025 BJP has appointed  Ravindra Chavan , a prominent Maratha leader and four-time MLA from Dombivali, as its new Maharashtra state president.
