 Spiritual leader and Isha Foundation founder Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev recently opened up about the shocking incident that led to his second brain surgery in March 2024. In a personal video shared on Instagram titled  ‘Sadhguru’s Second Brain Surgery – Undisclosed Details’ , the 67-year-old described how a seemingly minor accident became life-threatening. He recounted an incident involving a monkey while he was swimming with his daughter. A monkey approached their house, trying to enter for fruit. His daughter shouted to scare it away, but the monkey charged at her. Instinctively trying to protect her, Sadhguru rushed inside to grab a stick but accidentally slammed his head into a closed glass door at full speed. Sowmya CM Crowned Miss Globe India 2024: Karnataka’s Gem Set to Dazzle the World

 


Sowmya CM, the farmer's daughter from Karnataka, has made the nation proud for winning the coveted title of Miss Globe India 2024. She will be representing India in the Miss Globe 2024 pageant at Albania on October 15. Dr. Aishwarya Patiapati crowned Sowmya in a mega event. Pooja Penumala was announced as the first runner-up.

Originally hailing from Bengaluru, Sowmya CM has been in the news for her modeling and acting careers. She made her film debut recently in the Telugu movie "Indrajaalam," which greatly diversifies her prospects in the entertainment industry. A polyglot, Sowmya speaks Kannada, English, and Telugu, making versatility her trademark in regional and national film industries.

Sowmya CM first hit the limelight in 2022 when she was crowned as Miss Karnataka, marking the inception of her march in the epoch of beauty pageants. The beauty of this pageant is the addition to the crown Miss Globe India 2024, with the consequent burgeoning recognition in both the modeling and film industries.

The Miss Globe India pageant is organized by Miss Celeste India National Level Beauty Pageant, and the national directors for the event are Yogesh Mishra and Nimisha Mishra, founders of Fusion Group. Last year, Dr. Aishwarya Patiapati also passed on the crown, being one of the Top 15 finalists at the Miss Globe pageant back at Miss Globe Femina '23. Eyes set on Sowmya to perform so on the international turf.

All eyes will be on Sowmya CM, who is set to represent India and hopes to bring home the Miss Globe crown.

 Amid ongoing India–US trade discussions, India's Commerce Ministry has opposed a clause proposed by the United States that would prevent India from reintroducing digital taxes like the equalisation levy in the future. This development comes as India attempts to ease US concerns over high tariffs and show willingness to cooperate on trade reforms. In March 2025, the Indian government had suggested removing the equalisation levy on digital ads as part of the Finance Bill amendments. However, legal advisers to the Commerce Ministry now advise negotiators not to accept the US's current demand, as it imposes an obligation only on India.
